ROUND SQUARE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR TIGER KLOOF LEARNERS

ROUND 1

1.      Information regarding the Conference/Exchange will be put up on notice boards.

2.      Announcement will be made in church.

3.      Interested learners may fetch application forms from their tutors.

4.      Application forms to be handed in to RS Rep, on a specified date.

ROUND 2 

1.      Evaluation form will be given to teachers to evaluate learners which they teach.

2.      Managers of different activities will also be required to evaluate participation of the learners within their activities.

3.      The RS Committee (some staff and learner representation) will then sit together to evaluate the application forms, teacher evaluation and managers evaluation forms.

4.      The Committee will then select learners to be interviewed.

ROUND 3

1.      Tutors will be requested to write a motivation for the learners selected within their

group and recommend whether they are good candidates to represent the school.

2.      Learners will then be interviewed.

3.      Decision for the best candidates will be based on learner’s performance at the interview; teacher’s evaluation, manager’s evaluation and tutor comments.

ROUND 4

1.      Successful learners will be informed by letter.

2.      They will then have to do research and write a one page essay on the country and school hosting, which they will then present to the school at assembly.

3.      They will also have to research and write an essay on the theme of the conference and present that to the school at assembly.

4.      Liaise with teacher accompanying them on all aspects of the trip and other details. (conference)
